Berkeley Scholars

in Residence

The International Berkeley Society was founded in 1975 to promote the continuing study of the philosophy of George Berkeley (1685 - 1753). Members of the IBS are selected each year to be Berkeley Scholars in Residence at Whitehall. There is a small apartment upstairs at Whitehall for the scholar and family.

During July and August, the philosopher in residence gives the tours on Wednesday through Sunday. The museum house is closed on Mondays. The docents give the tours on Tuesdays.
