Meet Resident Scholar Louise Daoust

Louise Daoust, a native of Ontario, Canada is the Whitehall Scholar in Residence July 16 – 21. Dr. Daoust’s research interests in the history of philosophy focus on theories of vision and the mind-world relation. She also works in contemporary philosophy of psychology. She is an assistant professor of philosophy at Eckerd College, on Florida’s Gulf Coast, where she teaches a broad range of courses, including philosophy of science, philosophy of gender, and environmental philosophy.

The Rhode Island Colonial Dames celebrated Flag Day June 15th by honoring our women veterans at Whitehall. Members of the Newport Artillery guided us in our flag raising ceremony. Veteran Tessa Horne carries the flag.
